RWAYH, MSNR and Keeneland

We had an incredibly busy weekend. And my heart is full.

Andrea was gracious enough to host the Run With All Your Hart Satellite Run here in town Saturday morning.

And some of us were able to make the trip to Russell Springs to attend the race. This was such an emotional run.

Saturday evening lots of us headed downtown for A Midsummer Night’s Run. Lots of PRs. Lots of first time 5K finishers. The weather was just amazing.

Sunday morning, we met at Keeneland for our long run of the weekend.

Brooke, LaTanya, and Retta all had distance bests out there!

Hope to see you out there soon!

happy running!

Brighton Rail Trail

We’ll run the Brighton Rail Trail. We meet behind the Hamburg Liquor Barn. It is out-and-back, so you can do any distance you want. The paved/gravel trail hits Polo Club after a little more than a mile. (Pictures of the trail are here.) Here’s a basic map of that route. (Click picture for link at mapmyrun)

You can turn left on Polo Club and hit Man O’War a little more than a mile later. Or if you turn right on Polo Club, you hit Deer Haven in a little more than a mile. Turn around there and it is 4 miles and change total.

But instead of turning around, you can turn Left on Deer Haven. If you run that out to where it hits Winchester Road, you’ll get close to 10. You can also run across Winchester Road before turning back for more mileage.

Resolution Runners at the Arboretum

We braved the cold and the sprinkles (and the hills!) to run around the Arboretum today. One lap is a little under 2 miles but it is a very hilly 2 miles. If you can handle this course, you’ll be set to run lots of neighborhoods around town. It is a challenging but beautiful course. If you didn’t get the chance to make it out today, we’ll be back out there next Sunday (the 29th) at 4:00. Here are some pictures!
