With the aid of Highland Capital Management, the President George W. Bush Institute has been looking to educate the public about the democratic process and some of the most impressive figures in the history of U.S. politics. James Dondero and Highland Capital have recently backed the first major event to take place at the President George W. Bush Institute to celebrate the life of former Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia curated by his son, Christopher. The event is a free exhibition exploring the life and work of the Supreme Court Justice based around his letters and correspondence which has been opened to the public free of charge with the aid of Highland Capital Management.
The Institute and Highland Capital Management have a long history of working together with more than $5 million donated to the Texan educational center since it was in the planning stages in 2012. 2018 has seen the growth of the partnership between the Institute and the Dallas-based financial company which will see a series of events take place alongside the annual “Highland Capital Lectures” event.
Events celebrating the life of Justice Antonin Scalia are taking place alongside another Highland Capital Management initiative which will bring together experts to discuss the modern media and what “founding father” James Madison would have thought of the current state of the world.
