Helane Morrison is a person who has been able to maintain her ethical integrity throughout her career. After the market crash of 2007, US was left in a state of shock due to the institutions that crumbled. A lot of unethical behavior was exposed during this time in the financial sector. Stock market too collapsed, and homes were closed, and most of the employees were left in the streets. People lost their faith in the world of finance, especially in the investment sector. Her honesty and strict moral code have gotten her a place in the society where she is trusted by her clients in all their dealings.
She is the managing director of the Hall Capital Partners LLC. Before joining the firm, Ms. Helane Morrison was the head of the US Securities and Exchange Commission in San Francisco. She was responsible for litigation, regulatory matters and security enforcements in five northwest states in the US. In 1996-1999, she was the legal representative for the San Francisco SEC branch. Morrison practiced law from 1986 to 1996 at Howard, Canady, Falk and Rabkin and was promoted to partner in 1991.
Helane is also a member of the Regional Parks Foundation board. She also an occasional speaker on topics that deal with compliance and legal issues that affect investments and private funds. Morrison studied journalism at Northwestern University. She then got her J.D from the University of California where she was also the chief editor for the California Law Review.
